You may encounter the error “Microsoft Store is blocked by your administrator” when trying to open or install apps from the Microsoft Store. This usually happens because of a Group Policy or Registry setting configured by the administrator.
In this video, I will show you how to enable or restore Microsoft Store by modifying the registry setting that blocks it.
⚠️ Note: This guide is intended for IT administrators or authorized users managing their own devices.
Steps Covered:
Open Registry Editor
Navigate to the Windows Store policy key
Modify the DWORD value blocking Microsoft Store
Restore access to Microsoft Store
Registry Path:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsStore
DWORD: RequirePrivateStoreOnly = 0
After applying the change, you should be able to open and use Microsoft Store normally again.
