Hey what's up guys, Code Monkey King's here.

I'm getting asked this annoying question regarding chess engines' playing strength sources all of the time and this video is intended to answer this burning question ones and forever, well at least conceptually.

In this video I'm breaking down how the vast majority of the modern alpha-beta chess engines work to give an idea regarding the skeleton that gains the muscles until it becomes a real beast.

I'm sorry for expressing my own opinion regarding the playing strength here and there. It was really hard to avoid doing that because the playing strength is something I'm least interested in in chess programming.
