The Readymade | Scorned by Muses Episode 11
In this episode we look at Marcel Duchamp's concept of The Readymade and the ways in which contemporary artists are still making use of Duchamp's idea over 100 years after his scandalous presentation of "Fountain" in 1917. We visit three different exhibitions – "Fur die Kinder New Yorks" by Tobias Hohn and Stanton Taylor at Galerie Khostbahkt, "Skittles" by George Egerton-Warburton at Derosia and "Class: Weight" by Flint Jamison at Miguel Abreu – and contemplate whether people should continue to attend MFA programs.
