Shape Keys adds a difference to the original shape
Select the key you want to change in the list, and then edit the mesh in edit mode
Change the value of the key to change how much it affects the shape
When you have multiple Shape Keys, all differences are just added. Their order in the list doesn't matter
Change the range if you want to affect the shape in other amounts
