ADG DML Redirection and Locking and Timeouts
When using DML Redirection in Active DataGuard, you can run into Locking issues for Transactions -- in the same as would happen if both sessions were in the same database instance.
An added complication is "distributed_lock_timeout" because DML Redirection uses a Database Link
