Short Film "Olympic Hope" by Nikolay Urumov
This piece tells the story of a boxer chasing his lifelong dream — to compete in the Olympics.
One day, his coach gives him an impossible test: to prove his determination by doing something unthinkable — to kill a man.
Shocked, he laughs it off as a joke. But when the coach forbids him from joining the contest and insults his late father, anger takes over.
In a blind rage, he strikes his coach, and in the chaos, he accidentally kills another man who tries to stop him.
As silence falls, the coach calmly says, “You’re ready for the Olympics.”
He has achieved his dream — but now, it feels hollow. His heart is torn between pride, sorrow, and disbelief.
