Today, we are taking a look at how the legendary Audi EA839 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 powertrain comes together.
Every chassis component is installed with extreme precision. The steering knuckles, shock absorbers, five link suspension, CV axles, and all wheel drive driveshaft are fitted one by one to strict factory standards. The flexible exhaust coupling, charcoal canister, and underbody heat shields are also installed with pinpoint accuracy. Every bolt is tightened to its exact factory torque specification, showing just how demanding the production line really is.
Once the chassis is fully assembled, it moves to the body marriage station. In less than thirty seconds, hundreds of bolts are tightened at the same time, joining the chassis and body together with incredible precision.
