Breaking footage shows birds conscious when their throats are slit. 💔
After they’re unloaded at slaughterhouses, chickens are hastily hung upside down by their legs on a fast live-shackle line. As the birds thrash, some miss the electrified bath meant to render them unconscious. This means that many may still be conscious when their throats are slit or they’re submerged in scalding water.
