SP-404MKII One-Shot Playback Mode - Play LONG SAMPLES → SHORT PATTERNS!
I feel like I've been sleeping on this new feature from SP-404MKII Firmware Update v3 → One-Shot Playback mode is a variation of the GATE Button that does this: once a sample is playing, hitting that pad again will not retrigger the sample until it is done playing thru.
In my example I take a 2 bar loop from my joint "Snake In The Grass" (from WATCHED POTS NEVER BOIL IV) and, at the start of the pattern, add an 8 bar Guitar solo...so even as it is a 2 bar pattern looping it keeps on playing the whole guitar solo rather than having it restart on each repeat.
