Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR) in Simcenter STAR-CCM+ is a dynamic and automated method that refines or coarsens the mesh as the solution develops. This method allows you to accurately solve a simulation with less cells, thus decreasing run time and getting results faster. AMR is compatible with a wide range of physics in STAR-CCM+, including reacting flow, compressible flow, VOF, and overset mesh.
