Aquarian Yoga @ The Electric Beach Ball - Jan. 2022
Aloha everyone! In this video, I'm bringing you to the beach with me!
My wife, Deepa from Let's Evolve Together, leads an evolved form of yoga that she is calling Aquarian Yoga. It mixes flow yoga with contemporary dance and curious movement within a pose to find that perfect position that feels right for your body. It's truly magical, and I encourage you to give it a go!
I accompany her with a live composition of music, played on a 6U 106hp modular case, a Roland MC-101, and a Roland TR-6S. All sequences and melodies were created on the spot to match what Deepa was doing on the mat. I had only created the voices, tones, and instruments prior to this recording so I that had sounds I thought to be suitable for yoga ready to go.
This was shot at the Electric Beach Ball, put on by Off The Grid Productions. We started the event off to get everyone ready for a day of dancing on the beach. A few yogis showed up for the class, and they did a wonderful job! I hope to see more at the next one. Stay tuned!!
