Episode 3: Ruthless Kidnapping
In Wisconsin, a college athlete was blindfolded, gagged, and thrown into a van by an armed man. The kidnappers contacted the victim's family and demanded a $30,000 ransom, but gave no instructions on how the delivery should be made. The police were contacted, and the criminals told the family that they had shot him and would kill him if they didn't receive their money. After agreeing on a drop-off location, FBI agents approached the kidnappers' van, only to see them flee and be immediately pursued by the authorities. The gang dumped the young man's body at a used car lot before being arrested. Unfortunately for the victim, who did not survive the ordeal, he had been mistaken for someone else by a group with drug debts, who thought the athlete was involved in the same illegal activities.

On a summer afternoon in affluent Lodi, California, a twelve-year-old girl is kidnapped from her home. A large number of police officers and FBI agents are assembled, determined to find the child before it's too late. When the kidnapper's car is discovered in a field near Lodi, a K-9 unit, helicopters, and hundreds of volunteers conduct a round-the-clock search. It takes a united community, deeply concerned for one of its own, to find the missing girl.
