Troubleshooting RsLinx Browsing Issues Caused by Harmony Files
If you end up working with Allen Bradley PLCs long enough, eventually you will have browsing issues in RsLinx and need this lesson. If you are sure that you have your communications configured correctly in RsLinx and are still haveing issues connecting to your PLC, then try deleting these two harmony files. This is relevant whether connecting to an Allen Bradley Controllogix, Compactlogix, Micro800, Micrologix, SLC 500, PLC5...whether using Studio 5000, Connected Components Workbench, RsLogix 500, RsLogix 500, or RsLogix 5...pretty much every situation that RsLinx is involved.
