Bhai Mewa Singh Lopoke was not just a man — he was the voice of justice, discipline, and sacrifice. A humble Sikh laborer who arrived in Canada in 1906, he faced racism, exploitation, and the cruel surveillance of the Sikh community. Working hard at Fraser Mills and serving selflessly at the Vancouver Gurdwara, he rose to become a symbol of moral courage.

This video honors his powerful journey — from his seva in the Gurdwara to his brave stand against injustice. In 1914, after witnessing the murder of fellow Sikhs and the betrayal by colonial authorities, he took a stand that would cost him his life but inspire generations.

On January 5, 1915, he became the first Sikh martyr on Canadian soil, sacrificing everything for his dharam and his people.

Let us remember Bhai Mewa Singh not just as a historical figure, but as a living message: Never compromise on truth, justice, or honor.
