Art textile panel "Colchicum"
Colchicums are fragile, delicate flowers, the last ones in our climate, as if lost in time...
In this work, I did not strive to copy them exactly - rather, it is simply an image of something that has gone into the past. I selected fabrics according to the image - it is all vintage here.
Delicate lace stands out in contrast with the rough burlap, and to enhance the contrast of textures, I added a little metallic gold threads when quilting, which give a faint distant shimmer...
A decorative panel for a traditional and modern interior is made in mixed media - applique canvas and patches on fabric, author's acrylic prints on a gelatin plate, machine quilting.
