Welcome to Episode 11 of the AiTalks podcast.

Such a pleasure to have Andrew Carey from Deloitte and Jane Muir-Sands from IBM, both seasoned real estate leaders open up on lessons learned from the 2020 lockdown of offices, and looking forward to opening up workspaces in 2021.

Hear Jane talk about her focus on creating digital lighthouses inside IBMs’ workplace to welcome back colleagues made easier through the strategy of a data driven organisation, powered by the IBM TRIRIGA platform, and enhanced through the Watson Works toolset. Andrew talks about the agility of delivering operational projects in remote settings , changes to how space is going to be assigned and the way wellbeing and purposeful workspace will define the way back to a new normal.

There is so much including the importance of observation in the early days of return to work, the part experimentation will play to stacking and restacking offices, including the role of modular furntiture , the support of AI to assist workflows and productivity, and the sensitivity around survey fatigue.

Finally, both guests talk about the importance of decarbonisation of real estate and share IBM and Deloitte committments to net zero and underline why it is a significant area of focus of both organisations.
