Upgrading or Downgrading iOS on your iPhone, iPad or any other iDevice can be really really time consuming and you have to make yourself available for it so that you can follow the things it prompts in several restarts.
You can do the same normal upgrade to the maximum upgrade available by using iTunes and by following the steps. Upgrading or Downgrading using an IPSW file is something which can be of a big advantage to you. In this video, the iPad is on iOS 7.1.2 and the normal upgrade available is 8.1.1. Since I did not want to upgrade to 8.1.1, I decided to do the upgrade to iOS 8.1.0 using an IPSW file.
