1. Multicolored Candle
You'll Need:
juice carton
candle wick
candle wax in assorted colors
Here's How:
Insert a candle wick into an empty, rinsed juice carton, making sure that the wick is as long as the carton is high. Melt the first batch of leftover candle wax over a water bath. Pour the melted wax into the juice carton. Wait until the wax in the juice carton has set, then melt another batch of leftover wax in a different color. Pour the wax into the carton on top of the solidified candle wax. Repeat this process with the remaining colors until the carton is filled almost all the way up. Now cut off the upper part of the carton. Remove the rest of the carton as well, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch, and enjoy your brand new candle made out of leftover candle wax.
2. Anti-Mosquito Candle
You'll Need:
candle wax
candle wick
paper cup
wooden skewer
citronella oil
glass candle holder
Here's How:
Place a candle wick in the middle of a small paper cup and fix it to the cup by tying it to a wooden skewer so it stays put. Melt the wax over a water bath and mix in a few drops of citronella oil. Pour the wax into the cup and wait until it has set completely. Remove the cup, trim the wick, and put your new anti-mosquito candle made out of leftover candle wax in a small glass candle holder. Light the candle and never worry about getting woken up by pesky flies again.
3. Waterproof Shoes
You'll Need:
white candle wax
hair dryer
Here's How:
Take the white candle wax and rub it into your shoes. Now use a hair dryer so the wax adheres to your shoes and makes them waterproof. Let them sit for a while afterwards. To find out if your shoes are really waterproof, pour some water over them. We promise it works!
