(has been a long 9 days after i made this i broke everything. i have finally rebuilt what you see here again slightly different visually but the core mechanics are restored. i had stupidly updated the worldgrid material. the master material of all materials in the editor. well this caused many issues and broke everything it touched. i had to nuke everything and start fresh. do not edit your worldgrid material and ignore its explicit warning messages that say "hey dont do this it will cause many bugs" i clicked do it anyways lol. my idea was that it would apply the proper settings i wanted to each object by default. this worked but caused me not to package my game and caused random crashes.
nanite enabled
lumen enabled
fluidninja disabled (huge performance GAIN on this instance it struggles with multiple objects interacting like 20 or so probably going to be only interacting with characters in the future.)
obs hits the frame rates pretty hard at about 20-30 fps
also just done compiling all day the computer is on fire a cooler system would do better its a laptop on stock cooling its dying inside.
rtx2070 graphics card with intel i9 8 core running 4.5-5.1ghz and its melting
i will be showing this with nanite enabled in part two and then nanite enabled fluidninja off in part 3 and some cheat engine to speed up that last test but cheat engine breaks things towards the end giving some weird jitters. many more tests to come each one of these tests are after a fresh compile so the cpu is really hot and its not a normal case situation for gaming. each time i turn obs off at the end of the test i regain much of my fps to a mostly playable state. i have the graphics pumped way up and im going to tone things down a bit to get things just right. nanite test was too small i want to do a much larger scale test tomorrow.
