I created my first game using GameMaker Studio 2!
I'm split between calling it Rogue Arena and Desert Attack. The latter comes from a ROBLOX game I have fond memories of. Anyway, what do you think of this game? Of course, it's nowhere near complete, as I had intended to add more maps, monsters, heroes and even a boss called Aleia'Nor. Unfortunately, I kinda scrapped this project several weeks after recording this video, not because the trial version had expired (my mum bought the one-year package for me), but because I got tired of having to draw so many sprites. Despite my first attempt at pixel art looking pretty decent (mind you, I hate art and suck at it), it got to the point where my expectations far exceeded what I could do. In addition, I suddenly developed a few hobbies I'm super passionate about, which included coding (though I also stopped after a while), improving my Mandarin, and learning Japanese, on top of doing YouTube and enlisting in the police force. Besides, my true passion is in game design rather than fine arts or programming, though I don't mind doing the latter too.
