Quick and easy way to dramatically increase your computer speed. No need to overclock the CPU. The steps outlined below:
1- Press the Windows+R key combination to open up the Run command.
2- Type "sysdm.cpl" and click OK.
3- In the System Properties Window, click the Advanced Tab.
4- Under Performance, select Settings.
5- In the Performance Options window, make sure the Visual Effects tab is selected.
6- Click "Adjust for best performance".
7- You'll notice that all the settings will be unchecked. Check the boxes for the display features that you don't want to get rid of. (Personally, I leave everything unchecked except for "Smooth edges of screen fonts".)
PS: You can always come back to these settings and adjust them accordingly until you find the best combination that works for you.
