Director's Commentary:
Aimbot Assault is directly connected to Desolation, and viewers of both series may recognize some familiar faces. Watch Desolation here: • Desolation 1 - 30 (seasons 1-10) + NEW Cin...
Aimbot Assault is inspired by real events and real players, but is heavily dramatized for storytelling. The story of Aimbot Assault, and by extension Desolation, is not canon to official Team Fortress 2 lore, and its characters and events are not meant to be direct representations of real people controlling in-game characters. Watch Aimbot Assault 1 here: • Aimbot Assault [SFM]
The BLU Sniper at the end uses a highly advanced technique called "anti-aim," which makes him appear to face the wrong direction to confuse the enemy. The only way to hit someone using this technique is to "resolve" their anti-aim, which means finding out where their real head is, not where it appears to be. Another example of anti-aim can also be seen at 0:08, represented by the ability to seemingly dodge bullets in slow motion.
The BLU Upward Survivors seen at the start of the teaser are legits, not aimbots. Hack vs Hack refers more to Aimbot Assault 2 introducing more human aimbots, rather than the standard bot aimbots seen in Aimbot Assault 1.
The manufacturer company shown on the artillery cannons at 0:05 is a reference to this iconic video: • waterpark621
