Arzamas, a journey by steam train
Travel from Nizhny Novgorod to Arzamas by steam train. On weekends, the Nizhny Novgorod-Arzamas train, featuring an L-3095 steam locomotive and two carriages with seating, operates. It departs from Nizhny Novgorod-Moskovsky Station and arrives at Arzamas 2 Station. In the opposite direction, the train departs from Arzamas 1 Station. It's a great experience for railway enthusiasts. It has that same atmosphere: the smell of coal in the carriages and the characteristic steam locomotive ride.
Arzamas left a lasting impression after the reconstruction of Cathedral Square and the pedestrian Karl Marx Street. Restoration of the city's historic buildings has been completed and continues. New urban spaces have been restored and created. Arzamas has regained its appeal as a tourist destination. I left with positive impressions and a desire to return.
