ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro Review- Are Gaming Phones Just a Gimmick?
My Brother's Channel: / @dennisfang1
Thank You ASUS Australia for lending me the phone for review.
Today, we’re not just reviewing the ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro — we’re asking a bigger question:
Do we even need gaming phones in 2025? 🤔📱
Gaming laptops and desktops make sense. But when flagship smartphones already have powerful chips, gorgeous displays, and tons of gaming accessories available… what’s the real point of a “gaming phone”?
In this video, I dig into:
• Whether a dedicated gaming phone is solving a real problem
• If gaming phones are actually better for gaming or just marketing hype
• How features like the AirTriggers and cooling fan change (or don’t change) the mobile gaming experience
• Whether the ROG Phone 9 Pro is good enough to be your main phone, or if it’s just a niche second device
• Why physical controls might still be the missing piece for mobile gaming.
Along the way, I’ll show you benchmarks, real-world gaming tests, the unique features ASUS packed in, and share my honest take:
Is a gaming phone a real necessity, or are we just better off with a great flagship and a controller?
💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments — do gaming phones need to evolve further with real controls, or is what we have now good enough?
