PostgreSQL Replication

PostgreSQL is a very powerful Open source relational database management system. This presentation isn't about trying to convince you to use PostgreSQL (although you should) but if you are using PostgreSQL and you aren't using it's fantastic replication feature, grab a beverage of your choice and gather around while Jim goes through the ins and outs of setting up PostgreSQL Streaming Replication.

Jim McQuillan has been solving problems since 1984, primarily using Unix, Linux and Open Source technologies for most of that time. In 1999, Jim created the Linux Terminal Server Project (LTSP) and since 2007 he's been spending nearly all his time running Avairis, Inc., supplying software and IT services in Healthcare. He's been a member of Mug since 1986 and its president since 1997.
