Introduction: My name is Lilia and today we're going to be talking about adding new WordPress users, which can sometimes be confusing for people who don't know what they're doing. We all have bad days but this one will be over before you know it! So let's get started.
1. Login to your WordPress dashboard
2. Click on "Users" in the sidebar
3. Find the user you want to add and click "Add New User" button
4. Fill out form with username, email address, password, etc.
5. Click "Create a new user" button
Quick description of the roles:
Administrator: The highest level of permission. Admins have the power to access almost everything.
Editor: Has access to all posts, pages, comments, categories, tags, and can upload to Media.
Author: Can write, upload Media, edit, and publish their own posts.
Contributor: Has no publishing or uploading capability, but can write and edit their own posts until they are published.
Follower (public sites) / Viewer (private sites only): Can read and comment on posts and pages.
Subscriber (Business plan or higher with active plugins): Similar to the Follower / Viewer role; can read and comment on posts and pages.
There’s technically a sixth role, the “Super Admin.” However, this role is only used in WordPress multisite networks. It refers to the administrator of the entire network, who has full access to all sites it contains. Additionally, some plugins may add more user roles to your WordPress installation.
