Beloved in Brazil, the film is in UK cinemas now, giving British audiences a hint into the swagger, comedy, music and heat of Brazil, to bring us out of the cold for 113 minutes.
Based on a true story, BINGO follows Augusto, played by Vladimir Brichta in a critically acclaimed performance, in his search for fame as Bingo the clown, host of children’s morning television in the 1980s. With his irreverent humour and natural talent, the show is a big hit but how do you celebrate your new-found fame, when you’re forbidden to tell a soul that you’re the man behind the clown?
