As time goes on, I realize that I don't 100% identify as male/man. I mostly identify as a TRANS man - a man with female experience, trans experience. Those experiences are part of my identity and part of what has shaped my being. I embrace them. This is part of why I feel OK being "out" more, as time goes on. If people are at all close to me (like as friends or even coworkers), I want them to know I'm trans. If they don't know that, they don't know me, and I want to be known for who I really am. It's weird and alienating not to be. I'm also coming out a bit more due to our current insanely horrible political situation in the U.S. Silence aids the oppressors.
