Zero Period Jazz - Dominant 7th Chord Arpeggio Exercise over Bb Blues Progression
Over the Covid-19 quarantine period from March 13, 2020, through the end of April 2021 the Millikan High School Jazz Band musicians persevered to become better jazz musicians. We tried our best to become more skillful musicians: studying harmony, rhythms, doing critical listening, creating virtual ensemble performances and practicing our individual instruments by ourselves. Since the end of April, the Millikan Jazz ensembles have been playing together in person at school, implementing the necessary Covid-19 protocols. This channel showcases live recordings of six different MHS jazz ensembles. It’s exciting to have the musicians engaging with each other musically and socially. We hope that you enjoy this collection of post-quarantine live recorded jazz performances that the MHS musicians have prepared over the past month.
