The ability to quickly and accurately align an image to AutoCAD linework is very useful. The main things I use it for are:
1. when working with aerial photos to align the image to the AutoCAD linework.
2. when working with hand-drawn sketches that are scanned and then brought into AutoCAD as an image to use as a guide.
