Today’s Homeschool lesson is on a surf board🏄🏽♀️✨
I love that she can learn this way. She’s picked something she wants to do and is learning in all the natural elements.
We really try to encourage the kids to try new things, especially the things they show an interest in.
When we got to the beach, there was a surfing stand there. I asked Audrey if she wanted to learn to surf today and she said yes! So just like that and $50 USD…she took her first surfing lesson.
Her teacher speaks Spanish so she’s still learning and broadening her vocabulary this way (cultural awerness).
But beyond the actual sport of surfing a kid can learn & gain a lot from it. These are just a few:
