Volume Control using Speech Notification YAML Script in Home Assistant 🏠
This is part one of two posts and videos on how I am controlling the volume of various Home Assistants throughout the day. I talk about how I am using Amazon Polly to send text messages to the Chrome Casts Audios, AMP and then the Whole House Speaker system at a consistent volume throughout the day. No blaring messages at night and no whispers in the day time when the ambient noise is louder.
In this first part, I talk specifically about the Speech Notification script in Home Assistant and it’s volume control mechanism.
In the next post, I will show you how I use Routines to keep the Amazon Alexa voice under control in a similar way.
