Visual reinforcement audiometry (VRA) is a behavioral hearing test used to evaluate auditory responses in infants and young children who are not yet able to participate in conventional testing. During VRA, a child is conditioned to turn toward a visual stimulus when a sound is detected, allowing the clinician to observe reliable head-turn responses.
