This video covers what is commonly known as 'savant syndrome' aka 'autistic savants' aka 'idiot savants' - where people who suffer from severe developmental disabilities show amazing 'islands of genius' in specific areas. I'll be looking specifically at Kim Peek, a savant who was the inspiration for the movie 'Rainman'
