How to Crochet Desk Organizer Tutorial - Craft Organizer Crochet Pattern
How to crochet a pencil cup or craft cup? In this tutorial, I show you how to make a pencil cup using yarn, a crochet hook and a reused steel can. This is a great project if you are looking to organize your desk or crafting items. I like to use these for paint brushes, as they can fit on the outside of the can, and then I fill the inside with water and have an all-in-one paint cup. This is also great for storing small bits of left over yarn, pouf balls, or other small crochet objects while storing your crochet hooks on the outside of the cup.

How to crochet a paint brush container/crochet hook holder/pencil cup:
Crochet Hook Size: G / 6/ 4.25MM
Materials: cleaned steel can
Row 1: CH 24
Row 2: Connect the two ends of your chain by SL in the BACK BUMP of the 1st CH. CH 1. In the next st, place 1 DC in the back bump. Place 1 DC in the back bump of each stitch around the row.
Row 3: Crocheting right into the Back Loop Only (BLO) of the CH st in Row 2, place 1 DC. Place 1 DC in each st around the row.
Continue crocheting 1 DC in the BLO of each stitch in the round until your pencil cup holder will completely cover your steel can.
When the cup holder reaches desired height, place 1 SC in the BLO of the next 3 st. Place 1 SL in the BLO of the next 3 st. Finish by placing 1 SL in the last st. Tie off your ends and hide them in the underside of your pencil cup. Place steel can inside crochet and add your items!
