How to Install Node.js on Window 10 (2021)
Welcome, we will see how to install Node.js in our local system, also Visual Studio Code, and run our first Node.js script in 2021.
This video will walk you through installing Node.js and NPM (Node Package Manager) on a Windows 10 Professional system.
Step 1: To Download Installer
In a web browser, navigate to
Download & Install
Node.js: https://nodejs.org/en/download/
npm: https://www.npmjs.com
Visual Studio Code: https://code.visualstudio.com/download
Select your Operating System and Click the Installer button to download the LTS (Long Term Support) version.
At the time this article was written,
node-v14.18.0-x64 was the latest version Download for Windows (x64).

Prerequisite
An administrator account is a user account that has the right to make changes to other users' accounts (or the ability to download and install software)
Access to the Windows command prompt (search for cmd, right-click, and select "Run as administrator"). OR use Windows PowerShell (search for PowerShell, right-click, and choose "Run as administrator").

Although Node.js is not a JavaScript framework, many of its basic modules are written in JavaScript, and developers can write new modules in JavaScript. The runtime environment interprets JavaScript using Google's V8 JavaScript engine.
