Breaking into South Africa’s wine industry is not easy.
But one woman is trying to stamp out the stereo types.
Ntsiki Biyela is the country’s first black female winemaker.
She joined the industry 20 years ago when women vintners were unheard of.
Biyela’s had to overcome several challenges including language barriers and proving herself in an industry still dominated by white men.
She’s started her own label, which has already reached overseas markets.
Biyela is working towards owning a farm to grow her grapes and produce many more blends.
