Ark’s Cathie Wood predicts Bitcoin will reach $500,000 by 2026. She also strongly believes in Ethereum, especially after the transition to POS, and she sees Ark’s crypto portfolio as 60% Bitcoin, 40% Ethereum.
In other news: Solana blockchain is back to life after a day-and-a-half outage, Gary Gensler told the Senate that the SEC is working to create a set of rules to oversee crypto markets, a billionaire and the owner of the New York Mets, Steven Cohen, was persuaded by his son that crypto is worth it, and now Steven has started investing personally and from his own hedge fund Point72 in the crypto startups.
Fidelity had a private meeting with the SEC trying to push the approval of the Bitcoin ETF, citing both the maturing crypto market and increased adoption.
And some bullish news: Jump Trading announced its entrance into the crypto space with its new Jump Crypto and billions of dollars. It appointed Kanav Kariya, its former 25 yo computer engineer intern who built Jump’s crypto trading platform, as head of the new crypto division.
And last but not least: Christie’s to sell rare CryptoPunk #9997 in an upcoming NFT auction. In May this punk was offered for sale for 450 ETH, or $1.5 million.
