Velocity Shopify App Admin Guide: Headless App Setup for Rep Portal Checkout
In this walkthrough, we demonstrate how to install and configure the Shopify Headless app to enable the Rep Portal “Go to Checkout” workflow in Velocity for Shopify.
This setup connects Shopify’s Customer Account API to the Velocity Rep Portal, allowing sales reps to complete checkout workflows directly from the portal while keeping Shopify as the system of record.
In this video, you’ll learn how to:
• Install the Shopify Headless app
• Configure the Customer Account API
• Set the correct client type and application settings
• Add the required callback and logout URIs
• Retrieve the Client ID, Client Secret, and Shop ID
• Connect these credentials inside the Velocity Portal Settings
Once configured, your Velocity Rep Portal can securely support the rep checkout flow, allowing reps to complete orders on behalf of customers using Shopify’s authentication system.
