Over 500 Students Shine at the Microsoft Dream Space Showcase in Longford.
On Friday, 23 May, the town of Edgeworthstown was buzzing with creativity and innovation as over 500 primary school students from across County Longford came together for the Microsoft Dream Space Showcase.
This inspiring event marked the culmination of 10 weeks of hands-on STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths), where students tackled real-world challenges through coding, creativity, and teamwork.
From robotics demos to sustainability solutions inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the showcase highlighted the incredible potential of these young changemakers and future digital leaders.
The event was powered by a fantastic collaboration between Microsoft, Ericsson, VEX Robotics, Comhairle na nÓg, Music Generation Longford, and multiple teams from Longford County Council, all working together to create an unforgettable day of learning and fun.
Now in its third year, this initiative continues to grow, proving what’s possible when community, opportunity, and innovation unite.
