This is a bunkai drill I practice with my Uechi-ryu karate students in class to work on practical applications and bunkai from the opening movement or double wa-uke in Uechi-ryu kata. I recommend practicing this Uechi-ryu bunkai drill at varied levels of intensity so you can get a firm understanding of how your techniques will work under pressure. Remember, when practicing karate bunkai the techniques do not have to look exactly as they do in the kata and movements can blend and be applied differently depending on the situation you find yourself in.
