How to Get a Duplicate Title in Louisiana
Here's some lagniappe! If you've lost the title to your vehicle, you can request a duplicate title from the OMV or an auto title company. If you do it yourself, you'll need to submit the following to the OMV:
1. Notarized Duplicate Title Affidavit (OMV Form 1799);
2. Lien release from the lender, if there is a lien recorded on the vehicle;
3. State fees.
