This is my first capture of more than a single fox. Their behavior is playful and almost flirty. It is said that they can make some interesting sounds and that they use these vocalizations to communicate, almost like a crude language.

I purchased this model trail cam partly because it features a sensitive microphone. Hopefully, in the future, the fox will give me some yelps and other vocalizations.

All videos captured in the Sand Run Metropark in Northwest Akron, Ohio. Sand Run is a 1,000-acre nature preserve featuring extensive hiking trails. The ban on hunting has encouraged a significant population of coyote, deer, fox, groundhog, possum, racoon, and skunk.

It is trail-connected to 15 other Metroparks that, together, cover 16,000 acres of land. In addition, these parks connect to the 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

All videos were captured using a Voopeak TC22 trail camera featuring separate lenses for night and day. The night camera is capable of 1080 HD, while the day camera can record at 4K 30 FPS.
