Hello friends , In this video we make isopropyl nitrite , an alkyl nitrite from isopropyl alcohol
For that we need nitrous acid which being unstable is prepared using sodium nitrite and conc.HCl in cold environment. Its immediately used by alcohol to form the nitrite.
