Today I’m reviewing the Fodera Monarch Standard Fretless, featuring a Walnut / Ash body, Curly Walnut top, Ebony fingerboard, 3-piece White Oak neck, bolt-on construction, 34-inch scale, Fodera / Pope Standard 3-band preamp, and Fodera / Duncan pickups.
This bass has a clean fretless look with no fingerboard inlays, side dots only, and a warm, expressive boutique tone.
In this video, I’ll go through the specs, fretless feel, clean tone, pickup blend, Pope preamp, EQ demo, mix test, pros and cons, and final verdict.
