The Konni Group has been in every Modern Warfare game... Seriously!
The name “Konni” actually comes from old Slavic and translates to “soldiers of the horsemen” or “horse soldiers.” Since Makarov was a member of the Four Horsemen in both the original Modern Warfare series and the reboot, it fits perfectly — his troops really are the soldiers of the horsemen.
as some of you will say they were called the "inner circle well, “Inner Circle” is only ever a term used by the Western allies in the original games.
