I broke into the code and changed the original Italian text. Not a bad little game.

STORYLINE (from https://archive.org/details/commodore...)

"A King and a treasure; the beginning of this story is lost in the mists of time, when the world was still young and the trees still bloomed in the fairytale land of Kor; there was then a realm, located at the western ends of the known world, almost an outpost of civilization. Those were the lands of Lammas, the great necromancer king who was tasked with confining the devastating hordes of Absolute Evil.

The prosperity of the kingdom of Lammas was ensured by a series of profitable exchanges with the lands to the east of the small kingdom, which depended in all respects on the powerful King; Absolute Evil was aware of all this and also knew that, once Lammas fell, the world of men, and perhaps even Kor herself, would fall into his power.

Thus came the day of the battle.

Thousands of demons screamed in the skies of the kingdom of Lammas and men fled in terror as legions of evil orcs and mighty trolls ravaged the armies of men.

The Absolute Evil himself led his army into battle and finally found himself facing Lammas, in all his might, who violently repelled the attacks of the enemy army.

Thus began an unprecedented confrontation: the terrible forces of Absolute Evil forced Lammas to use all his energies, in an attempt not only to repel the enemy hordes, but to break the evil power of the dark lord.

In a single interminable instant the released energy reached such a level that it shook the earth until the buildings of Kor shook; never before has the enchanted land been influenced by an external event and it will probably never happen again in the centuries to come.

Lammas died in that fight and the Absolute Evil, although immortal, was deprived of all his energy and was thrown into the abyss of darkness, from which it will hardly be able to get out. The realm of Lammas no longer existed, all life had been erased in an instant and a traveler had to walk for several days before he could find a tangible sign of human life.

The legend also tells of the fantastic treasure of Lammas, coveted by Absolute Evil, which since that day lies in one of the rooms of the King's palace, waiting for a daring able to conquer it and bring it back to light.

Some travelers also report a gathering of evil forces in the land of Lammas. Perhaps a return of Absolute Evil."
