calibre epub (9) phatch
Phatch (photo batch) converts groups of photos according to your specifications. You can make all of them, say, 4 inches wide, with rounded corners, with a shadow, with caption, all in black and white. It is very quick and you can save several configuration files if you do the same sort of processes over and over again. These pictures can be imported into a word processor file in a much faster manner using Phatch. Then, the word processor file can be converted to an epub via calibre. Using phatch shaves several hours off the time it takes to import and configure 250 pictures into a word processor one at a time. The whole thing takes a couple of minutes instead.
