A video from the Superarbalet store, titled "Compound Bow Tuning Master Class."
Many people wonder, when buying a compound bow, how to install accessories on a compound bow. Today, using each accessory as an example, we'll explain how to install accessories and tune a compound bow.
Our example is a compound bow from the Taiwanese company Man Kung, but we also have other compound bows in our online store, including those from renowned American companies.
Tuning a compound bow yourself is something we don't recommend; it's best to entrust this task to professionals, especially if you don't have much experience.
We'll tell you:
What a compound bow rest is, and how to install it on a compound bow.
How to attach a sight to a compound bow, and why additional holes are needed.
How to tie a release loop (the knot diagram is below in the description).

Riser
Compound bows may come with different types of risers, including drop risers and whisker risers, which are budget-friendly. The riser included with this bow is called a Whisker. To attach this accessory, place the riser on the inside of the bow and tighten the main bolt until it stops. The riser can move left and right, which is necessary for adjusting the arrow's cast. A perfectly adjusted riser will allow you to shoot accurately at various distances. Many risers have a midline. If there isn't one, mentally divide the riser in half and align the bowstring with this midline. The bowstring should pass through the middle of the riser and the middle of the riser hole.
Sight
Compound bow sights are typically attached to the bow handle using two bolts that are threaded into the bow handle. This ensures a secure fit. The sight has two mounting positions: near and far. The sight can be extended for longer-range shooting.
Release Loop
Cut approximately 11.5 centimeters from a thin but strong cord. Light the ends of this section with a lighter. We recommend using a release loop made of durable materials, but inexpensive nylon alternatives are also suitable, but they may stretch and move along the bowstring, which will impact comfort and accuracy. Finally, to secure the knots, you'll need to hook the loop. This can be done with an Allen key or pliers, then pull the loop firmly toward you. Otherwise, you risk slipping your hand into your teeth or nose while drawing the bow; believe me, it's unpleasant.
If desired, you can wind the nocks, which are the area where the nock of the arrow will be inserted. They are wound with regular cotton thread around the bowstring at intervals of 1-1.5 centimeters. The starting point for the thread should be measured so that the opposite end rests directly on the surface of the bowstring rest when in use, as if duplicating the arrow.
Adjusting the Draw Weight on a Compound Bow
Unscrew the bolts from the module and install it in its corresponding draw weight. The draw weight is indicated in numbers, not letters, as is the case with many American bows. You can measure your draw weight using a measuring arrow or any other familiar method. It's important to set the draw weight on both modules identically. Avoid overtightening the bolts on the module, as the structure is plastic and this can cause cracks.
Draw weight adjustments are made using the large hex bolts located on the bow's draw weight. When the bolts are fully tightened, this is the maximum draw weight; with each turn, you loosen the draw weight. It's important to remember that you shouldn't tighten the draw weight more than four times, otherwise the limb may pop out, turning the bow into a puzzle that will be very difficult to assemble, especially without experience and the necessary tools.
We hope you found this video on adjusting a compound bow helpful!
