This is an HTML program intended to run in a web browser from a desktop computer, phone, tablet or Palm.
We just need to specify the year number and it will give us the name of the first day in that year as well as the number of days in that year (365 or 366) so that we know if it's leap year (366 days) or not (365 days).
Along with our mental calendar calculation techniques, it's all the aid we need to calculate any day of any year in history.
We could also implement as a program the purely mental techniques, to calculate the values of any year for a calendar application or applet.
